I am Dr. Zarat Y. Boyd, and I am a catalyst, advancing the strategic work of leaders, teams, organizations, and communities locally and globally.
I have over 20 years of experience in learning, leadership & organizational development. I am passionate about creating dynamic learning environments for learners across the lifespan through customized sessions, workshops, programs, & certification opportunities. I have worked with various school districts, educational institutions, government at all levels, healthcare companies, faith-based organizations, nonprofits, & businesses to assist them in building their people & organizations.
I currently serve as President & Chief Learning Officer of MaxLife, Inc., a strategic solutions practice founded in 2003 to ignite and cultivate leaders and leadership teams’ desire for significance. I along with my husband, Damian, started Vertical Church in 2012, a family of change agents “on mission” in the urban, collegiate community of Southwest Atlanta, Georgia. I also serve as President of Vertical City, Inc., a 501c3 community impact organization investing in the revitalization of underserved communities.
Damian & I celebrate 18 years of marriage and 14 years of raising a gifted child with complex medical conditions. I earned a Bachelors degree in International Relations from Spelman College, Masters in Leadership from Bellevue University, Masters & PhD in Human & Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University. I am an Institute for Social Innovation Fellow from Fielding Graduate University and recently received the university’s prestigious Douvan Alumni Award for my leadership development work in underserved communities.
I intentionally pursue a life of significance and encourage as many people possible to do the same.
